Mexican Hot Chocolate Roasted Pecans

Ingredients

  • 3 cups raw pecans
  • 2 T coconut oil melted
  • 3 T pure maple syrup
  • 1 T cinnamon
  • 2 1/2 T cacao powder unsweetened
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/8 - 1/4 cayenne pepper depending on desired spice level
  • Dash of sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 300°F.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and stir until a ll pecans are evenly coated.
  • Spread pecans evenly on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for about 25 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool.
  • Store in airtight container.
